Facebook confirms it is blocking Taliban-related content.

Facebook says it is blocking the Taliban and all content-related content on its platforms because it considers the group a terrorist organization.

According to the company, it has a team of Afghan experts to monitor the content and make appropriate decisions if necessary.

“Taliban” is sanctioned as a terrorist organization by US law, which is why we banned them from using our services. It is included in the list of dangerous organizations. “By deleting accounts run directly by the Taliban, we are banning their praise, support and presentation.”

“We also have a group of Afghan experts who speak their native language and know the local context, which helps us identify issues raised on the platform,” a Facebook spokesman told the BBC.

According to the social media giant, it adheres to the principles of “international community credibility” and makes decisions based on these criteria.

Facebook has emphasized that the policy applies to all of its platforms, including its flagship social networks: Instagram and WhatsApp. However, there are reports that the Taliban still manage to use WhatsApp for communication.

The Taliban reportedly used Twitter to take control of Afghanistan to inform hundreds of thousands of followers.

According to a representative of Twitter, the platform does not cover groups that promote terrorism or violence against civilians, and plans to review positions in this regard are planned.
