According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Bitcoin payments will again be possible at Tesla. The BBC reports about this.
“It is very likely that Tesla will still be able to pay with Bitcoin,” Musk said at a global cryptocurrency conference.
The publication writes that after the announcement of Elon Musk, the value of Bitcoin increased by almost 6% to $ 31,952, while the price of Ethereum increased by 10.6% and amounted to $ 1,979.
Musk announced in May that the electric car maker would no longer accept Bitcoin as a means of payment, citing the negative impact of cryptocurrency mining on the environment as it requires huge amounts of electricity.
For reference, the price of cryptocurrency was equal to 65,000 USD in mid-April, which was the highest value in the history of its existence. Most recently, it has depreciated to $ 30,000.
